Dragon Boat Festival represents the culture of the people and the Chinese influence over Singapore’s past. As over seventy per cent of the population in Singapore is Chinese, it is small wonder then that most Chinese festivals are celebrated with much fervor in this country.
Aside from watching dragon boats and their crews perform on the waves, Dragon Boat Festival involves other things like delicious foods, such as triangular rice dumplings with tasty fillings are especially popular during the celebrations. Fillings include pork, water chestnuts and mushrooms.
The Company has arranged to distribute Dumplings “Bak Chang” to all Chinese staff and Buns to Non-Chinese ethics for this festival.
