Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate CNC programs and machining processes for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and live-tooling lathes.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, fixtures, and machine parameters.
- Lead cycle time reduction and tool life improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot production issues – dimensional deviations, poor surface finish, chatter, tool breakage.
- Create setup sheets, tool lists, inspection plans, and standard work.
- Perform time studies, capability studies (Cpk), and first-article inspections.
- Provide engineering support to the teams on all technical / programming issues.
- Collaborate with quality on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain program and process documentation revision control.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years equivalent CNC process engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Solidworks).
- Strong knowledge of G-code, speeds/feeds, and cutting tool metallurgy.
- Strong understanding of CNC Milling and Turning processes, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to read complex mechanical drawings.
- Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Mazak).
Advantages:
- Experience with Swiss-type lathes or multi-axis mill-turn machines.
- Knowledge of ERP/MES systems for routing and BOM management.
